The first session of the court hearing in the case of the death of 63-year-old UK citizen Martin Brian Taylor will be on June 4 in Veliko Turnovo regional court. Taylor's body was found on Hristov Botev Street on October 10 last year. Ethel Christina Taylor, 60, is charged with the murder of her husband Brian. The prosecution claims that Mrs Taylor was drunk and drove over Brian with the family car. A weak point in the prosecution case is that there is no document saying that there was alcohol in Mrs Taylor's blood. However alcohol was found in the blood of Brian. Fifteen witnesses have been summoned to testify on June 4. As The Sofia Echo reported in October last year, Mrs Taylor's version of events is that her husband and she had been celebrating at a bar in the heart of the town until about midnight. Mr Taylor having had too much to drink, it was decided that his wife Ethel would drive them both home. The two had an argument en route to their house. The argument ended with Mr Taylor leaving the car near the bus station and Mrs Taylor driving herself home. When her husband, Brian, did not return home, Mrs Taylor reported him missing.
